Robert Boldin
Pittsburgh native, Robert Boldin, joined Pittsburgh Opera in 2015 as Manager of Artistic Administration, before being promoted to Artistic Administrator in 2018. Prior to that he served as Music Administrator for Houston Grand Opera. A former singer, Mr. Boldin has sung with Chicago Opera Theater, Cincinnati Opera, Chautauqua Opera, Dayton Opera, Kentucky Opera, Lyric Opera San Diego, as well as the choruses of the Lyric Opera of Chicago and Pittsburgh Opera. Additionally, he can be heard on the world premiere recording of Robert Kurka’s A Good Soldier Schweik (Cedille Records).
He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Carnegie Mellon University and a Master of Music from Northwestern University’s Bienen School of Music. He has been a judge for the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, and he enjoys an ongoing relationship with Carnegie Mellon University’s School of Music as a frequent guest teacher, as well co-producer of Co-Opera – a collaborative initiative to foster and produce new operatic works.”
