Pittsburgh Opera proudly announces that Sri Palanisamy has joined its Board of Directors.
Palanisamy is the Vice President of Enterprise Strategy at Highmark Health. In this role he manages Highmark’s 2025 Strategy (A Higher mark) and leads large enterprise-wide strategic initiatives and planning.
Sri has dedicated his 20+ year career to transforming healthcare by improving outcomes, lowering costs, and building a better consumer experience. Prior to joining Highmark, he led the Corporate Strategy team at the Blue Cross Blue Shield Association in Chicago. Sri began his career in management consulting, working at various firms including Oliver Wyman.
Sri’s love of the performing arts started in 2001 when he co-founded Rasa Theater with Artistic Director Manu Narayan. His responsibilities included administration, fundraising, and governance. Rasa was a professional theater company aiming to produce works by and for the South Asian diaspora.
“We couldn’t be happier to have Sri join our Board,” says Pittsburgh Opera Board Chair Michele Fabrizi. “We are thrilled he has returned to Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh Opera is fortunate to have his strategic business experience and passion for the performing arts.”
After growing up in Pittsburgh, Sri received his MBA from Georgetown University and his BS from the University of Michigan. He and his wife have twin girls.
